It is very rare to find and hear an emcee that has an extraordinary ability to be able to spit flames beyond a person's expectations. Well, the search is over! Tha Flamespittaz, which consists of three talented emcee's (Empire - born Erik Gonsalves, N-Depth - born Paul Delodovici) do just that!
Growing up in a poor household of drug addicts, no guidance, no curfew, being in and out of group homes, and never having a father in his life, Empire turned to gangs and drugs for love. At the age of 14, Empire's real father got custody of him and after two years of fighting and not getting along, Empire left his father's house. After holding all the pain and sadness inside for his whole life and writing poetry while growing up, Empire dove deep into rapping for that release of emotion he had built up. From that point on, music became that vital breath of life for Empire. Already having a diverse history of music under his belt, Empire combined his love for music and created his own style of rhyming.
At a very early age in life, N-Depth had to deal with a painful and emotional blow of his parents' divorce and separation. Being pulled from both sides, N-Depth grew up going back and forth from one house to the other. As a result of dealing with his situation while keeping it to himself, N-Depth became a victim of being picked on in school and being used by his so called friends. After suffering a broken heart in an abusive relationship, it was the final thing that had lead to him writing rhymes and making music as a means to cope.
Empire and N-Depth met in high school, where the group was founded and assembled in 2000 by Empire, and started out by spending their lunch time in a teacher's classroom, with a group of fellow rappers, kickin rhymes and freestyles. The two emcee's have been refining and sharpening their lyrical skills for eleven years now and have been producing their own music since 2005. Tha Flamespittaz have been doing whatever it takes to make a name for themselves in hip-hop including gigs, talent searches, and internet advertising.
Putting each of their solo albums on the back burner, they recently came together to work on their new group album, Resuscitation, and are just about finished. Taking from their knowledge, experiences, hardships, and successes in hip-hop and in life, they shape their unique sound and style on a conscious tip. With all that said, Tha Flamespittaz aim to purify and bring hip-hop back to its roots once again, be able to provide for and take care of our family and friends, and represent our city San Francisco, the Bay Area, and the whole west coast.
