Nine abstract composition concepts, visually communicating a mechanism's (can opener) physical action, were drawn in 17" x 14" format. India
Ink was then applied with pen and brush. The 2-D composition was brought into a relief by cutting, folding, bending and gluing of the elements.
A final 17" x 14" Bristol board and India ink relief composition is set with Black Matte Board.
The final was displayed in the Design and Industry Fine Arts Building along with 9 others chosen by colleagues.

The final portfolio was asked to be reprinted to be shown to future DAI 300 students.
Creating a stool strong enough to hold a person's weight. Completely made out of cardboard and an optional 2nd material, consisting of only 15% of the stool.

The stool was said to be one of the stronger in the class, in representing a stool and not a side table.
